Captivating
This book stuck an excellent balance of fantasy that is easy to follow, and romance and doesn’t overtake the storyline. The main characters have substance and the world building was understandable and weaved into the plot.
An excellent read, and I can’t wait for the next book.

spellbinding!!
absolutely superb! a romping adventure love story that seemlessly combines old world glory and the fight for the new. Beautiful observation of character relationships with a subtle whimsy lead you further and further into their thrall

An unexpected gem
This book is not really my one of my usual genres but I loved it.
Great storyline, fantastic narration, strong and well written female leads and a plot that holds your interest.
It had me hooked from the start, I was gutted when it ended, and even more gutted when I realised it has only just been released and I'll have to wait for the next installment.
More of this please.

Bound to love it
Hooks you from the start with great characters and similarities to 'A Knight's Tale' before reeling you in with courtly intrigue and necromantic curiosities! Already looking forward to the next book in the series.

A great listen!
A great story with great world building- really felt like I was there. I didn’t expect the twist and loved the new direction the story took as a result. Looking forward to seeing what happens next!
