Excellent short story!

Really enjoyed this short story.
As I got into it, I realised I had already listened to it in a collection of short stories but it was so good, I listened again and enjoyed it just as much.
Tom does a fantastic job with narration, has excellent character voices, perfect pacing and manages to truly bring out the tension of the situation.
This is my honest opinion on a free review copy.

who's to say what's right or what's wrong?

I loved this tense little story.

Justin M.Johnson has such style in the construction of this story that had you questioning which way is up and which is down, the story merely adding to the feelings of confusion and tension as the story progresses.

Tom Jordan does a fantastic job of narrating this book bringing each character to life vividly with their own distinct voices.

I was given this audiobook for free from audiobooks unleashed and have left this review voluntarily.

"The Merry Men."

Although a very short story, only 21 minutes in duration, Deep in the Woods seems to encapsulate so much more, was part of a bigger story. It was just before Christmas and Tommy was broke - until Uncle Willy pushed $300 into his hands to buy presents for the childrn. A very welcome gift, but what would Willy want in return? Sparsely written, images are clearly !eff in the reader's head, and the ending itself contained a neat twist. Narration by Tom Jordan was excellent, his voice well modulated and paced, which after the initial registering of the pleasant timbre, faded into the story Being told.

I really enjoyed Deep in the Woods, and found it an almost uncomfortable listen, one demanding a second listen. The book was downloaded for free from Audiobooks Unleashed: my thanks to whoever made this complimentary copy available. At that price, definitely worth a listen.
