A steamy second-chance romance
This is supposed to be an adaptation of Beauty and the Beast and I suppose I can see it. Jasmine is forced to tolerate Shepard because she needs the money to care for her sick father. However, really, Shephard and Jasmine were high school sweethearts so there's a past there. Jasmine broke up with Shepard was an alcoholic. He's not now and he's rich and successful but he has a secret. The secret is not revealed for the majority of the book but I thought it was easy to guess. It made Shepard definitely much more sympathetic to the readers and I was looking forward to them getting their HEA. Note, this is super steamy with sub/dom themes (fanning myself) and it was overall, an enjoyable, fun book. I give it 4.5 stars.
i borrowed the ebook from KU and requested and received the audiobook for review. I really liked Lance and Grace overall. I thought that their voices for the other characters, especially those who were female/male, respectively, were a little unnatural (but still, that has to be the most difficult part of the job) and sometimes I had difficulty determining who was speaking but in general, they did a good job with telling the story.

Let this husband steal your heart
Wow. This story will not only grab your heart but your soul. This is not my first Crystal Kassel story . The beauty of this story shows that there is more than one way to suffer abuse. Crystal characters are strong , they know how to go through life and knowing what they need to do to get through life.
Hero is Shepard. Heroine is Jasmine
Shepard owes half of NYC , he has more money then what to do with . Shepherd has his guard up over his heart and his soul. Something affected him bone deep when he was young. There is only one thing , one person in this world that he wants with him forever .
Jasmine also has a hard time in life , her father is sick , as usual the bills are slowly eating away her money . Not only that Jasmine has one wish , that wish is to be on stage .
Shepherd and Jasmine meet up again after years apart, they at one time were a couple . Now when they meet up again Shepherd offers Jasmine a deal , the deal is to become his wife .
Grab this and see do they become one , a wedding . Does Jasmine get her wish , going up on stage .
Both narrators Lance and Grace performance was great. They did this story and Characters great. The tone for the characters were great. Strong , smooth and clear.

Fantastic listen!
Do you ever get over your first love? Shep is in need of a wife, and it has to be his ex, Jasmine. Jasmine is in need of money to help with her father's medical expenses. These two enter a pact that can only lead to one thing. A second chance. But this is not your typical second chance romance. Crystal Kaswell has woven a delicious tale of love, incredible passion and redemption. Jasmine is such a force, very devoted to her father, but she her heart knows what it wants. Can she align her brain with her heart? And will it be in her best interest? You can't help but love Shep. The ultimate bad boy with issues that make you want to help him. But can he be helped? Will this second chance be wasted? It's a great listen.
Lance Greenfield and Grace Grant are amazing narrators, and they bring this story to life. I don't think there could be a better fit for Shep. Greenfield has that bad boy growl, sex appeal and just nails his personality. Grant always finds her target and Jasmine has definite strength to her, but a melting that Grant eases into. They are fantastic together.

thank you for a great book and I love all the information and the way the last thirty minutes of the audio was done its appreciated. this book was a little different for me but I liked it please keep using good narraters because I dont have the time or patiences to read them myself anymore

love Crystals books but sadly this ones not for me
This is my first ever book that I just DNF! If I’m getting bored from a book I will normally will try to hang on for dear life hoping to find something that will bring the back to life but with this one I just couldn’t do it and chapter 31 was my limit. I have 3hrs and 21mins left from this audiobook but I just can’t. It’s unfair of me to go into detail and spoilt it as I may not like this particular book but others may love it but I didn’t even get any spark, sexual chemistry or intimacy between these two and it just made the sexual interactions feel wrong. I will be returning this for another book
