Summary
An abandoned house, an abundance of dogs. And a dead body or two.
Sheridan Hendley’s volunteer position at Pets and Paws takes a new turn when more than 20 malnourished dogs are found at a run-down house on the outskirts of town. When the body of an elderly woman is found amid mountains of clutter in the house, a search of the property leads to startling revelations. And another body.
While Herman Stoneham’s death is deemed natural causes, his wife’s is not. Where did all the dogs come from, and who’s responsible for Justine’s untimely death? Are the two connected? With dogs and murder at stake, Sheridan can't help but get involved in the investigation. If you love dogs and mysteries, this one is for you.

Another winner by this author
I am loving this series. An abandoned house, full of dogs and hoarded rubbish leads to the discovery of the body of the owner. Sheridan's volunteering at the dog rescue involves her in the mystery. Excellent characters, great story and lots of cute dogs what more do you need in a cozy mystery. Narration is great, easy to listen to and entertaining. Great stuff. I received a complimentary copy from the author and am leaving a honest voluntary review

Puppies and murder
Puppies and murder what more could you want in a cosy mystery? nothing and I enjoyed this book just the way it is. I think of hoarders as collecting paper or junk and filling there house with it and this book is no exception but I never thought what would happen if the boarder applied it to say well dogs. Good job the author did because it makes for an interesting listen. You really got a sense of how dangerous this condition is and how baffling it is to others. Although the main character didn't really do any investigating she soon finds herself caught up in the case helping the sheriff. I think there is a moral to this story that we should all remember what is important and I can't wait for the next book.
When a dog comes home carrying a puppy it's owner investigates where it came from, only to find his neighbour dead and the house and yard over run by dogs. It's all paws on deck at the local animal shelter when more than twenty dogs and puppies in a bad condition are moved there for treatment and re homing. Sheridan as one of the volunteers helps not only the dogs but also the sheriff as another body is found on the property. The reclusive couple was even estranged from there own children, so who buried the husband and killed the wife? To find any clue or even a will Sheridan will have to go though boxes of someone's else treasure. Can she help re home the dogs and catch a killer?
I liked the narrator and thought she helped to bring the story to Life by using lots of different voices for the characters.
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
