It's OK

I had high hopes, but found the story a bit lacking overall. It was a good idea, but the characters made bad obvious choices and that was irritating.
I really disliked the narrator and found she lacked flow and emphasis in the right places and I found it quite off putting. I may have enjoyed it more reading it, but as an audiobook it was a let down.

How original the story is.

I loved this as it’s apocalyptic but feels pretty bang on. The world is a scary place. I loved this and how love can overcome fear xx

dissapointing

I was really excited to start this audio title. I made it to the 3rd chapter before giving up because the narrator performance was so awful. I did wonder I'd the voice is AI generated. the sorry sounds good so I will buy a copy to read instead

If you like a dystopian read, this book is for you

Loved the characters in this book, Pasha & Mays difficult journey and the twist at the end. Leaves me wanting more. Onto the next in the trilogy !

disappointed with the narrator, characters deserved so much more, hopefully the author changes narrator before book 3,

set in the not so far distance, a terrifying thought of how close to our future it could be, the characters are easy to invest in, cleverly written, definitely a trilogy I will go back to time + time again

Good story but the reader no.

Whilst I liked the story I didn’t like the narrator at all. Sorry as I think this may be controversial but I couldn’t warm to her or the way she depicted the characters which sadly put me off listening as often as I usually do, I just couldn’t engage. Perhaps had I have read the book I may have enjoyed the sort more

Superb

A dystopian story, not to be dismissed. A concept explored that’s so far from reality but so plausiblable and real! The narrator draws you in from the first page. Gripping and heart wrenching all at the same time.

Awful Narration

I was excited to listen to this series of books. But the narrator comes across as remotely reading a description with little emotion, change of pace or tone. I found it impossible to connect with the characters or get past the first chapters. I think I’ll have to purchase the books to read myself instead.
