About this listen
Sometimes history is better left buried...
Six months after barely escaping a nightmare, Kira Hanson is ready to take the trip of a lifetime—one she hopes will answer questions about her father's clandestine work recovering art stolen during World War II. But before she boards her flight, she's waylaid by a friend in need and finally comes face-to-face with the Navy SEAL who saved her six months ago and then ghosted her.
Lieutenant Commander Randall Fallon is thrilled to cross paths with the shy art historian, but within minutes of their reunion he learns she's in danger once again. Uneasy with the idea of her embarking on a trip to track down art thieves on her own, he just might have to reprise his role as undercover bodyguard and follow her to Europe posing as an art buyer.
Things heat up between Kira and Rand when he tracks her down in Malta, but it soon becomes clear that Rand's instincts were correct: Kira's digging into her father's secrets has unearthed an unexpected enemy.

Rand & Kira
I’ve loved every book in this series and can’t wait to start all the previous series because I have clearly been missing out.
Kira and Rand’s trip to Malta just cemented the idea that I must go, one day. Their sizzling romance, the descriptions of the various sites they visited, the suspense and intrigue, this audiobook got me hooked.
Nicol Zanzarella and Greg Tremblay are superb as our two main characters but also as all the other characters they give their voice too in this book.

Wonderfully complex and intriguing
Six months ago he saved her life then he ghosted her or so she believes. Lt Commander Rand Fallon fell for art historian Kira Hanson the first time he met her, when danger stalks her again he is determined to protect her. Sheltered all her life Kira travels to Malta determined to learn more about her personal history and her late father’s work recovering stolen artwork. Rand follows Kira to Malta on a mission to keep her safe and their attraction ignites as buried family secrets, intrigue and mystery are revealed at every turn. Beautifully narrated by Nicol Zanzarella and Greg Tremblay, drawing you into the complex plot where the twists keep coming. Was enthralled by the story and descriptions of historical Malta, I love Rachel Grant’s intriguing, complex, descriptive stories interspersed with history brought perfectly to life in narration.

Kira and Rand
I voluntarily reviewed an ALC of this book. There’s literally so much happening in this book - it’s a bit tough to keep up. Basically, when Kira visits Malta after her parents deaths she never would have dreamed about, the kind of avalanche she started. Luckily, Rand is there to help keeping her save which is not an easy task, due to all the family - she never knew she had - who’s out to put her 6 feet under. A very well written, and perfectly narrated story. Nicol Zanzarella and Greg Tremblay are the voices of Rachel grant books. I knew this listening to concrete evidence a long time ago. So, great story!

Awesome book
Wow. Once again Ms Grant delivers another fascinating and highly addictive story in this series. Her characters are so unique and each book brings you something new and exciting to keep you hooked from the first page to the last. I get so excited a new book comes out because I know I’m in for a treat. This was no exception. The narration was excellent too which only enhances the enjoyment of the story.

Brilliant!
Rachel Grant’s attention to detail always adds to her intricate, well-written books - yes romance is included, but the storylines created are just so interesting! I devoured this on Audible over a couple of days and eagerly await more books in this series. Well worth a credit and highly recommended!
