Summary

The monarch wants him dead. A dragon’s torching the realm. Is his heroic gig about to be a critical catastrophe?

Gorm Ingerson knows the king is a fink. With the land’s insidious ruler hell-bent on his destruction, the axe-wielding Dwarf berserker is desperate to beat him to the punch. But when he discovers the rotten regent’s claim of a town razed by the world’s richest dragon is false, the gruff adventurer fears there’s more than a personal grudge at stake.

Struggling to convince his old comrades that they need to help him solve the mystery, the dwarven idealist stumbles into a sinister smuggling ring. And with strange creatures, cunning assassins, and vindictive bankers all plotting his demise, Gorm worries this time the price of doing the right thing will be fatally high.

Can he make a saving throw against death with a high-stakes roll at disadvantage?

Dragonfired is the thrilling third book in the Dark Profit Saga satirical fantasy trilogy. If you like witty banter, RPG references, and clever sendups of popular tropes, then you’ll love J. Zachary Pike’s laugh-out-loud conclusion.

Sheer genius

The best book of the series so far. An absolutely masterful author. You will not regret picking these up in any way shape or form.

Great 3rd book

The 3rd book continue where the previous book left off. Very funny, but still the depth and quality you want from a high fantasy story. I think both Terry Pratchett and Tolkien would love this story.

Well that was Great

The story started as a Romp with the first book and became an Epic adventure by the end set in the world of RPG. Its great fun but a great story as well. Benny reminds me of a Sword that controlled a PC "The Namless One" in 1979

An excellent end to a very good series.

Really enjoyed Dragonfired and the Dark Profit saga. It was very well written and the audio book performance was excellent. It was a great end to the series which I enjoyed through out. I would describe it as a cross between DnD and The Big Short with lots of humor and satire throughout. I hope there are future books based on Arth

A good way to end the series

This was a good book not as funny as book 1 and I would have preferred more humour but everything was dealt with and it was an enjoyable listen.

The narrator was great once he got going. I highly recommend this series.

A great finale to a fun series

Though darker and more serious in tone throughout, Dragonfired continues the theme of the previous with a fantastic finale to the trilogy.

A good finale to the trilogy

All the old favourites back for one last adventure. Witty, funny and irreverent. Makes a nice change from the relentless fantasy out there.
