About this listen
Same team, new place, new adventures.
In a forest wilderness, a dungeon reappears after surviving a nation ending war. The magical shock has devastated both the dungeon and its occupants, in more ways than one. Doc find himself alone in this new place, surrounded with unknown dangers. Claire, Doc's partner and guide, finds herself at facing the nightmares she wrought using Doc, having freed herself from her mother's control. The pressure mounts on both as the damage is made clear.
Even then, the wilderness surrounding them is filled with all manner of danger and traps, everything ruled by the law of the strong. How can a wounded family face such a threat as what has been disturbed? And will they be ready to defend the dungeon core from those who covet its power?
The best-selling series that started it all brings to you a new series where it's all dungeon, all day.

Is it just the voice actor or has the writing changed too much too?
I loved the Original series with Doc and I had find this author thanks to there fantastic work with Bio Dungeon, and wanted to learn more about this world, however I'm really struggling to listen to this new installment.
I really want to enjoy it, but the tone shift on top of the change in voice actor is jarring. I find myself just stopping and check if any of my other authors have published a new book. I know the story must get better or at least the story is still good with so many reviews and more books in the series.
However warning to anyone just fresh off the end of the last series, you might as well treat this a new story, with a few names what you might remember even if you don’t recognise their personalities.
I don't normly leave reviews, however I felt this needed to be said, honestly I will have to come back to this story to give it a fair take later when 'The Dungeon’s Burden' is not so fresh in my mind.

A massive drop in quality
Painful to listen to because of the writing. Badly needed to be edited and reviewed before it was turned into a audio book.
The story is mostly depresive filler and only few small parts of interesting story.
