Lyrical writing & twisty thriller

I loved Amy Rose Capetta's writing style in The Brilliant Death and while this was very different it was just as clever and evocative. Not what you expect from a book with a thriller or but with the setting of a theatre performing a Greek tragedy, it worked surprisingly well. The thriller plot was very well done, bluffing and double bluffing the reader without ever cheating you, until the final reveal(s) where it all falls into place. The romance plot was interwoven amongst it all so well, and watching Zara find herself and her confidence despite everything was incredibly satisfying.
