About this listen

Elijah is a watcher, part of an order of immortals placed on earth at the dawn of time to teach and guide humans. When the evil Semjaza leads a third of the order in rebellion, Eli tries to contain the damage. But thousands of years later, the fallen watchers’ destructive influence on humanity has only spread.

It is 1914, and the evil watchers, now led by Lu, have started a world war. Eli is desperate to stop the conflict, but everything changes when he meets the remarkable French nurse, Michelle. Eli must face his feelings for the affectionate Michelle as he fights to stop Lu’s dark forces and save the world.

Michelle tries to uncover the truth about the mysterious Eli and learns of her own secret bloodline. But all is not as it seems. Elijah’s Awakening is the first thrilling installment in the Chronicles of the Watchers series.

something different

loved the twists in this tale, what are to be perceive as foe end as friend and vice versa.
Eli has certainly had a life of memories but the joy he has as being a husband and father is the best i think.
i want to see what happens in the next part to see if the family is reunited and how rhe start of this book corresponds to the next.
i found the narrators voice to be monitone at times which i feel took some of the story down.
look forward to the bext book.

Excellent story. Excellent narration.

A powerful story that left me wanting more. Brilliantly narrated by the author, who knew exactly how to tell his story, complimented by the delicate voice of Michelle.
I'm very happy to recommend this audiobook.
5 stars across the board.

Good story line

Good story line, but I was not a fan of the narration style. some parts the narrator was reading absolutely plainly with no changes in intonation and it made it hard to stay engaged and immersed.
