The best book ever for graduate student

I have always been worried that I will never find one job that will satisfy my all creative sides and talents. This book has thought me that there is no point of worrying I am multi-hyphen and my work life is going to be an amazing adventure. I'm so inspired and for the first time in a long time no afraid of life after graduation. I got this! :)

Shaking up the world of work

Emma Gannon’s writing is clear and entertaining, while also being very informed - she challenges popular ways of thinking about work with robust evidence and gives valuable insights into how to leave a 9-5 work life for a more varied career. But as someone who has already made that change, I found her book full of incredibly useful points about comparison, multiple income streams, networking and managing finances. So overall, an EXCELLENT book - and brilliantly narrated too.

Last half is the best

I found the first half incredibly repetitive.
And the lists about other multi hyphens can grate while listening to audio.

Then you get on to the chapters which have info and advice and this is why I downloaded the book. Emma has clearly done her research. I will be listening to those chapters again with a pen and paper next time round. This book might be better to buy a hard copy, so you can highlight bits that were relevant rather than the audio version.

I'm a Multi-Hyphener and Proud

Having left behind a full time corporate career and started my own venture/s, I have been earning a living from a few different revenue streams over the past number of years.

I dread being asked what I do for a living because it's complicated explaining that I work at 'this and that' and that I don't actually have a traditional 'full time job' or career any longer.

This book challenges the norm and outlines how Multi-Hyphened jobs are fast becoming the new means of making a living in the 21st Century.

"Today, the average person changes their job 5 times in their lives. In the future our children will be doing 5 jobs at the same time - and these haven't even been invented yet!"

A highly recommended read.

Great motivational read

Really enjoyed this book and it was great motivation for me as I have been playing with this idea for a few years but didn't feel I had any where to look for examples of how it coukd work for me. It is filled with useful tips and references. Couldn't recommend it enough.
