Summary

‘A harrowing and suspenseful page turner that perfectly encapsulates “Northern Noir”. This is how a police procedural is done.’ Nadine Matheson, author of The Jigsaw Man

Four dead bodies. One missing person. Let the game begin.

When an anonymous tip-off leads detectives Nikki Parekh and Sajid Malik to the sprawling Salinger estate, Nikki’s senses are on high alert. The brutal murder of all four members of the Salinger family has shocked the sleepy Bradford village to the core.

A mother, father, daughter, and son. . . all killed in exactly the same way – whilst sat around the coffee table, playing a game of Monopoly.

But Nikki notices that there are five pieces on the board. One of the players is missing. . . Did they manage to escape the killer, or was the killer part of the game?

Don’t miss the next utterly gripping thriller from the Queen of Northern Noir! Fans of Angela Marsons, Patricia Gibney and JD Kirk will love this heart-stopping listen.

A chilling case ,,,, and a happy ending!

After a family of 4 is slaughtered around a game of Monopoly in their home, Nikki Parekh and her team have a mystery to solve. There was a fifth place set. Was this for the killer, or did someone escape and if so where are they?

This is such a dark, chilling book which left me with goosebumps. This may be fiction, but feels so realistic, and we all know there are some evil people out there. The book is well written and expertly plotted and my mind was all over the place trying to figure everything out.

I absolutely love Nikki Parekh! She's a kickass detective but has a soft centre and would do anything for her family. I love her realtionships with her tem, especially Saj.

And after such a sad and gruelling case, the book has a very happy ending.

Great narration by Shaheen Khan.

The perfect end game

I have loved this series of novels, and as soon as I saw this title appear in my 'next in series' list, I bought it and listened over a couple of days.
This story acknowledges nikki pareesh's family traumas from previous novels and focuses on a crime with only the faintest link to her family. I love how the relationships between the different characters has grown over this series. There are many twists and turns that reflect Nikki's complex and sometimes chaotic personality. I hope this is not the last we her from Nikki Pareesh. The narrator is the perfect choice for this book. Highly recommend...

Wasted a credit on this

The narrator is diabolical, the story line might have been acceptable but I will never find out because I had to delete the book.
Where do I go for a refund?
