Summary
"False prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead many astray."
One year has passed since Dr. Newton and Magneteer took their fight to the streets. Lives were lost. The damage incalculable.
The public demands answers.
But with Newton incarcerated and Magneteer on the run, Cameron and Rebecca are left to pick up the pieces.
If they can't appease the citizens they swore to protect, the Newton Force is no more.
Further complicating matters is the arrival of two new superheroes calling themselves the Legion of Liberty.
Filling the void left vacant by the Newton Force, it doesn't take long for the Legion of Liberty to win the public over.
Newly appointed to the Department of Superhuman Affairs, Agents Malcolm Mills and Catherine Gibbs are tasked with finding out who the new superheroes are and where they came from.
What they discover could usher in a new age of superheroes...and the downfall of the Newton Force.
False Prophets is the exciting second installment in The False Idols Saga.

Nothing false about a good super hero saga
I loved this book. This is book two in the series but to be honest if the first book wasn't just as good then I would have said it made for a good standalone. The story is told by multiple characters but I think this really works well for the story. It sets up the situation the hero finds themselves caught up in and then the next character explains from a different perspective how they got out of it, building up the excitement and tension. There isn't a great deal of super hero fights (although prepare for action) but that didn't really matter as it was more the problems they found themselves in and how they got out of it that made the story so entertaining and mysterious, especially with the twists at the end. I really liked the characters, especially the banter between them and they could grace any big screen movie. Move over Avengers there's a new super hero team in the world and I for one can't wait for there next adventure.
Newton Force is in shambles with one team member dead and one in prison, it is up to the remaining two members to change the publics opinion of super hero's for the better. Before Cameron the acting leading can give his press conference the headquarters is attacked. Riding into action two new super hero's arrive and quickly gather support by calling for the end of Newton Force. Cameron and Rebecca suspects a mole from there own team is helping the new comes and making them look bad. Can they uncover the mole? And find out what Legion of Liberty really wants? Joined by civilians agents Malcolm Mills and Catherine Gibbs the four of them find themselves going up against the new hero's and turning to an arch enemy for help. Can they be stopped? Or will the cost be to high?
I liked the narrator. I know it was only one narrator but he did so many different voices that he could have been joined by a team, he was that good.
