very informative about new technologies
all in all a positive book. A large part is about new business models and technologies, of which many are possibly about to become mainstream features in fashion materials, production, and retail.

Thought provoking
This book did exactly what I wanted it to do: provoke deep thought about my own actions around consuming fashion and also about the politics of fast fashion. I did not feel preached to, or made to feel bad for my past decisions, but I was given options to choose better in the future. Dana Thomas doesn't try to have all the answers, but she thoughtfully interrogates her own consumption of clothing in an open and clear way which can be used as a pathway to more sustainable living.
