Nonsense for dumb American fathers.

I bought this after reading 4 & 5 star reviews on Amazon for the book, thinking that I would pick up techniques and strategies for supporting my daughter. What I got was a long series of one-sentence statements aimed somewhere between American sentimentality and punchlines. Samples:

"Show her how much to tip, and when"

"No piercings below the ears - a father has to put the foot down somewhere"

"Accept that her first soccer team may be called the Pansies, and that you may have to wear a shirt with Pansies on the front"

"Make sure she learns to drive in the rain, sleet and snow"

"Remind her to text you whenever she moves from one place to another, even if its every 5 minutes, thats what her mobile phone is for"

"When she learns to drive buy her the biggest meanest tank you can afford. Society wont sleep better, but you will"

"Teach her that if she acts dumb to attract boys, she will attract dumb boys"

"Remember, its good if her male suitors think youre slightly unhinged"

"Ask your daughter and her date what their plans are. If you dont like them, help them change them. Your daughter will hate this. It doesnt matter"

It should be made clear that this is aimed at less-than-intelligent American 'macho' dads, who are expected not to have common sense.

This is also 45mins long, and a waste of an Audible Credit. Avoid.
