Summary
Whatever it takes, I'll make her go. I'll just have to become the a-hole I used to be.
Chance
Sure, I've been knocked around a little. What player hasn't? However, if what the doc says is true, things have got to change. There's no way I'm letting my wife become my nursemaid. She deserves better than that, better than me.
Mel
What the hell is wrong with CJ? I need to tell him something important but he keeps avoiding me, using "game-focus" as a lame excuse for not coming home. I know we talked about having kids...someday. How's he going to react when he learns that sooner or later is now?
I know it looks bad but there is a HEA guaranteed! This novella stands alone but a whole lot more fun if you've listened to the first two in the series.

CJ and Mel!
After being sacked on the field CJ receives some news from the team doctor that brings up memories from his childhood and he believes that the only way to protect Mel is to end their relationship permanently which devastates Mel as she had news of her own. When it looks like things are not as they appear is it too late or will they be able to find their way back to each other?
Wow based on the length of the novella it packs a lot of drama and angst. I received a complimentary copy of the audiobook and enjoyed the performance of the narrator.

Fantastic
This book has a good storyline with likeable characters. Stella has captured the emotion very well. Looking forward to the next book. Jonathan gives a fantastic narration as usual.

Wow
This book honestly felt longer with the amount of fantastic drama and suspense. It may be short but there is nothing missing here. I loved the characters and the story line. It managed to break my heart and put it back together in a short amount of time. Absolutely loving this series

Enjoyed
I did enjoy the narration of Jonathan Waters , he narrates all the characters and their feels to perfection.
If you want a fast listen this is perfect
Chance is married to Mel who he loves with all his heart. He is a pro quarterback. He is told he has traumatic brain injury. He is worried that this may make him like his father , who turned violent when he was just 4 years old.
How dose Mel tell him of her own health news . Emotional. Loving.

A poignant story full of drama
This is the tale of a quarterback who is was diagnosed with a medical condition which was not clearly explained to him by the team MO, possibly to leave him in a misleading situation when it came to re-negotiating his next contract. He tries to keep this from his wife and asks her for a divorce to spare her worrying about him and generally behaves like a complete idiot. This causes his wife a great deal of angst, torment and heartbreak.
They do finally resolve all the issues and find way back to each other. This is a very moving story full of angst and love and a great deal of patience as the couple work their way back to each other.
I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this audiobook.
I was sent a complimentary audiobook which has not determined the outcome of my review which is my honest opinion.
