Summary

Danger, excitement and love - this is how the glamorous Phryne Fisher is determined to live her life in her second enticing adventure. Walking the wings of a Tiger Moth plane in full flight ought to be enough excitement for most people, but not Phryne Fisher, amateur detective, woman of mystery, as delectable as the finest chocolate and as sharp as razor blades.

In this, the second Phryne Fisher mystery, the 1920s' most talented and glamorous detective flies even higher, handling a murder, a kidnapping and the usual array of beautiful young men with style and consummate ease - and all before it's time to adjourn to the Queenscliff Hotel for breakfast. Whether she's flying planes, clearing a friend of homicide charges or saving a child from kidnapping, she handles everything with the same dash and elan with which she drives her red Hispano-Suiza.

Solve another case with Phryne Fisher.

Kidnap, murder and wing-walking - PHRYNE triumphs again. Depravity, greed and blood-lust alive and well in all ages.

Flying Too High

This is another light hearted murder and kidnapping detective story where Miss Fisher and her friends are able to save the child while her friends find the clues to the murder. Read brilliantly once again by Stephanie Daniel.

More Phyrne please

She is fun, fearless, frivolous and utterly fabulous. This series is excellent light entertainment - the cosy mystery at it's best. The decadent 1920's really comes to life in this series, and although we know that it ends on a much poorer note for so many, somehow it does not seem likely that that the canny Phyrne Fisher will be one of them. I want to know for sure though. Can we have the whole series here, please?

Another Belter

I got through this in a couple of days, including staying up late last night, which suggests it's the audio equivalent of a page turner.

I love the period and the characters and now Mr. & Mrs. Butler have been introduced, the world of Miss Fisher is forming up nicely.

Audible

Whilst I quite enjoyed the couple of stories listened to, narration was good which is a massive consideration for me, these stories are ridiculously short and certainly not worth £7.99 or one credit. Two approximately four/five hours stories should reasonably count as one purchase. Sadly therefore, I won’t be purchasing further episodes.
