Summary
Her blood is unlike any other.
Dr. Riley Scott is dying. Heavy metal poisoning is slowly killing her.
Declan Bonney was turned more than 300 years ago. He hates killing, so he allows groups to tour his castle-where he can take his pick of the unsuspecting for a quick snack.
When he sees Riley for the first time, he must taste her. Her blood is intoxicating, but it is her ability to resist his glamour that makes her truly beguiling.
Declan isn't the only vampire hunting her, and when Riley's taken, he will do anything to find her - and save her. Battling Hunters and enemy vampires is nothing new for Declan, but this time, he cannot fail. If he loses Riley, his very existence is over.
Forever Kept is a novella featured in the Vampire Brides series. All books in the Vampire Brides series are standalone paranormal romances and can be read in any order.

Unmet potential, but Jason Clarke is worth it.
I’m a Patricia Eddy fan from her Restrained series. This story had a lot of potential, but took too long to really get juicy (the last hour got interesting). It felt like the set up took too long, and the payoff came too late. I wanted to know more about some of the characters that were introduced in the last hour, but by then it was too late to develop them. Hopefully other books in the series will flesh them out.
The narration is an ambiguous 4 stars- Jason Clarke earned 5 stars, but Lucy Rivers only gets 3. Jason is always top notch, and this narration is no different. His female voice is pleasant and believable, and his Irish brogue is spot on. Lucy’s female narration is quite good, but her male voice, combined with a bad Irish accent, made all of the male characters sound drugged and slurred, often to the point where dialog was hard to understand. It was a distraction for me, but Jason redeemed it when it was his turn.
If vampires and witches are your jam, and if you can get past the female narration, it’s a quick listen that will pique your interest enough to listen to more in the Vampire Brides series.

Sad that it finished
This is a novella and quite short but packed full. I really enjoyed listening to this mainly because Declan was not like other vampires, he believed that no human should die from vampire feeding on them. Good morals but what happens when the urge to drink consumes him? Riley, a haematologist has something wrong with her blog and goes one one last trip to visit Ireland and it isn’t long before her and Declan become acquainted. Is it a disaster waiting to happen? Well I am not going to tell you what happened because you really need to listen to it yourself, but I really liked it and will definitely be looking for more audiobooks and books by Patricia D Eddy.
The narration was perfect, both Jason and Lucy made the characters come to life.

Great Vampire listen!
Short, entertaining listen. Wish I understood more about her heavy metal poisoning. But the rest was well developed. Male narrator was amazing. Female narrator took more getting used to. Definitely will continue listen to this author! 🎧 AudiobookObsession

Reclusive Vampire & The Dying Human
Declan is a vampire that hates to kill, but he still needs blood to survive. His solution to his problem is his castle in Ireland- he has tourists visit and each time, he lures one into a dark corner, gets his fix, wipes their memory, and sends them on their way. Riley is a scientist whose life is running low since she isn’t able to find a cure, but decides to take one last trip to Ireland. Declan is easily lured to her and both of their worlds turn upside down. He can’t stop thinking about her and she’s being chased by hunters, turned into a blood slave, and ultimately has to decide if immorality is the right choice for her if it’s offered. I really fell in love with Riley’s scientific and morally right personality, but found that she was stubborn at times and didn’t always think things through. Declan had a protective and more human personality than most vampires, but was still seductive and enticing. I wish there would have been more scenery or descriptions of Ireland itself, but overall I really enjoyed this vampire suspense romance.
Jason and Lucy did an amazing job with their narration duet! Their voices flowed nicely with one another and it was always easy to tell who was speaking. I loved the Irish accent that Jason uses for Declan and together they both kept me hooked until the very end!

Great Vampire story!
This book was an awesome listen. Learning about Rylee and her illness was sad. She put so much into her career and so little into her personal life. Until her trip to Ireland.
Declan sees Rylee when she is on a tour through his castle. He is drawn to her and doesn’t completely understand why.
There is so much that happens in this book and it was such a good listen!! If you’re a Vampire read fan, download this and listen!!
Jason Clarke and Lucy Rivers were awesome narrating this!!!!

Vampire Brides Rock!
I love the style of Patricia D Eddy's writing, which is why I took the chance to listen to this! I am not a paranormal listener, but this book caught my ear and I couldn't stop listening. The intriguing story of Declan and Riley had me from the start. With a chance meeting, feelings that cannot be denied and danger lurking, this couple has it all. It's suspenseful, passionate, steamy and I could not get enough. Riley is strong, smart and I love her courage. Declan is the ultimate vampire, the one I think of when I think of creatures of the night. It's a quick, listen that had me entertained from the first chapter. Narration by Lucy Rivers and Jason Clarke only enhanced this story. They are so good, fall into character perfectly and made me right there with them as they found their forever kept.

Short but fun vampire story
Riley is dying and she goes to Ireland for a last hurrah. She joins a tour group and meets Declan (unknowingly at first). Declan drinks from her and he finds himself caring about her beyond anyone else. She gets captured by other vampires. Will he find her before it’s too late? This was a fun, exciting and romantic story, brought to life especially with the excellent narration in the audiobook. Both Lucy Rivers and Jason Clarke were great. They both used awesome accents and and had perfect voices for the characters.
This is one of a series (different authors) so can be read as a standalone.

Audiobook Obsession
Delcan was a man of peace, until he found Riley. It was nice to see he couldn’t stay away from her. Hunters were hunting his race, and now her. This was a nice different read. Vampires, hunters and witches. I like it!
