About this listen
Ascending should have been the easy part.
But after being thrown into the void, Thorn finds himself stranded in a strange world filled with even stranger creatures.
Together with his cute battle pet, the mysterious god beast Hati, and a sentient AI named Eve, Thorn must forge a place for himself in this new world. Unfortunately, the local guilds all have other ideas, and soon the Titan finds himself embroiled in plots that even his famed strength cannot help him with.
Rallying his strengths and learning how to fix his weaknesses will be the absolute minimum Thorn needs to survive, but if he wants to thrive he’ll be forced to take risks that put his life—and the lives of his friends—on the line.
Forgemaster is the first book in the Tower Series, a GameLit/LitRPG series from Seth Ring, bestselling author of Battle Mage Farmer series and the Titan series. It is set in world of Nova Terra and starring the unforgettable Thorn, and if you like immersive storytelling, rich fantasy, and epic adventures with a slice of friendship thrown in, you’ll love this thrilling series.
Listen to Forgemaster and escape to the grand world of epic adventure. Endless worlds await!

A WELCOME START TO THE TOWER SERIES
Seth Ring has fast become one of my favourite authors. The running joke of Thorn being over powered for the majority of Nova Terra, is quickly stripped away after ascending. Though Thorn still has a few perks up his sleeves, it has to be said that it takes a little time to get used to.
The Tower series, has brought in a new I would say " traditional " litrpg style leveling system. I just hope Seth avoids the issue i have found with one or two series where they had 6 to 7 minutes of audio stats to listen to.
The new characters have been given a solid base and that I assume will be built on in the coming books.
Overall it is a fine addition to the series. though i do recommend that you listen to the previous nova Terra books before this one.

Strong to weak!
Thorn no longer having all his previous benefits just rang true in this book, no respawn, no money, no talent to lean on. Thorn has to relearn a new way of progressing.

Need a blacksmith? I know a guy...
Forge Master by @SethRing, published by @BlackstoneAudio. I absolutely loved 💕 this book. The characters you have grown close to in the previous series are put in new perils and I care about them - a nod to the excellence of the writing.
Thorn and his friends are thrown into a completely different universe from #novaterra, entirely without a point of reference. However, as the reader we enter the familiar owed to the camaraderie between the MC and friends Hati the moon-wolf and his battle pet.
As MC, Thorn is a great blacksmith and soon has his old master's forge transported to this universe to make any armourment he wants. But there is trouble when he applies to be a registered artificer as a jealous rival plots to have him killed ☠️.
Despite the frequent assassination attempts, the titan Thorn remains standing and eventually becomes very rich. As the only blacksmith / artificer in the world, he is able to make customised enchanted armour and weapons, which comes with a 💷 hefty price tag for the customer.
The narrator @ericjasonmartin does a good job bringing to life this strange world and kept me wanting to listen on. 📚 5/5 ⭐️ #BookReview #BookRecommendation #BookTwitter

Mediocre
I'm a fan of Battle Mage Farmer. That's why I listened to this book, I didn't even know it was a continuation of another series, but it's a waste of time. It didn't grab me in any way, to the point that washing my dishes seemed far more exciting to me... you watch the water flow gracefully down the washed plate and the faint smell of lemon wafts over you... ah, poetry.

Too cringe
Half the books in this genre seem to be based on an ideal drawn up by a young teenager. This is one of them.
