Summary

Groomed as the next human spy for the LIA or Lycan Intelligence Agency, Emma is called to duty earlier than she expected. Head of Team Greywolf, Rylee, dispatches a new agent to retrieve her. Emma, who also works for the CIA, agrees to join the team.

Nik, former Russian intelligence, is an unusual werewolf. He spent his entire life with humans, only learning recently others of his kind existed. After helping Team Greywolf in a recent operation, Nik reluctantly joins the team. His only goal is to find Saskia, an escaped serial killer from his last mission, and bring her to justice.

Emma and Nik are assigned a covert mission to find out who is attempting to create werewolf men, found dead and mutilated during the failed transformation. Emma and Nik must put aside their national loyalties and mutual sexual tension to find the culprit. Their assignment is dangerous, not only to their lives, but to their hearts.

Sexy, adventurous, paranormal romance

The thing about Eva Gordon is that she fully commits to the fictitious world she create. She includes fine details that she remains committed to through the series. For example, the social hierarchy and pack rules of the werewolves in the Team Greywolf series remain the same through the series. But that is when things get interesting. Eva creates fascinating characters that somehow flout the status quo and go on the most amazing adventures.

Alpha werewolf Nik grew up outside of werewolf society and, as such, does not feel comfortable with the various rules and laws that define the society. Emma is the new CIA liaison for the Lycan Intelligence Agency and the two get paired up on a mission in Siberia. There is no way that the two would ever consider being more than work partners. After all, Nik is at the top of the food chain and Emma is but a lowly human. But circumstances, adventure and danger force them into deadly situations that test their loyalty to the prescribed ideas of society. As they race to stop the bad guys, they have to make hard decisions and choose sides.

Each book in the Team Greywolf series is standalone but a lot of fun to read in order. The characters appear in other books too so it nice to understand their backstories. Nik, for instance, was initially introduced in another book where he proved his worth as a member of Team Greywolf.

Perhaps the best part is that these books are completely entertaining. They include adventure, romance and lots of paranormal activity. I thoroughly enjoyed them all!
