Summary
Jason is getting ready to have the adventure of his life!
He and Sandy are heading to the Gathering, which is a conference where the Heads of the Households of the supernatural world network, talk about problems and solutions facing the Houses, and learn a few things.
Jason is going just to support Sandy, and figures he’ll have a mildly interesting time and be home soon. Instead, he gets poisoned, fights for his life, meets a whole new nation, learns the history and secrets of runes, has a cosmic encounter, makes many new friends, and finally gets in touch with his godhood.
It’s a wild ride, so make sure you have snacks, a comfy blanket, hot chocolate, a lap cat/dog/bunny of choice, and get ready for some fun!

Really easy to listen to
Somehow liked this book of the series more than the previous and couldn’t leave it alone. Despite having studies and another audio book on the go at the same time I still completed this in a week. It’s a break from the events of the previous books and helps develop the back stories and magic history plus introduce some fun new characters.

Couldn't out it down, really put the series back on track
I Couldn't out it down and listened over 3 days - prepare to lose some sleep! The second book on the series as ok but really lacked some progression, this book really made up for it and put the series back on track, I loved the characters and magic (though slightly repetitive at times but much less thank book2). Some progression on answers from previous books, yet much more to find out. Overall I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait for the next one.

A well written story with and interesting concept. The characters are likeable and the narration is very good.
