Simply enthralling
A totally enthralling book from the start to the finish. You will fall in love with Jenny. Clearly written by an author who knows the subject of autism very well. It certainly made me understand the problems faced a lot more clearly. Give it a try you won't regret it, excellent book.

Captivating! A great read.
Absolutely loved this book! Although it talks about gaining insight into the autistic perspective (I have a child with autism). What really struck me was how early childhood trauma and attachment issues are so beautifully, simply depicted through the eyes of "Ginny". Ginny's character is so well written and understood that many times you feel an overwhelming frustration (on Ginny's part) when other characters in the book fail to "understand". Would highly recommend.

Mesmerising! Absolutely brilliant!
I was intrigued at first and not quite sure what to make of the book but as it went on I became more and more engrossed. I found it so interesting to see things from Jinny's point of view and to see how frustrating it was for her that people don't understand but then also it showed so well how difficult it was for her family and teachers. Absolutely brilliantly written and very moving. An excellent listen!

adopters, and adoptees should read
gripping book. as an adopter I can identify so much with the adopters and adoptee.
I know in reality it happens that someone committing a smaller crime gets jailed, but I don't understand why abusive adults don't get jailed for mistreating their children.
Really worth listening to.
