Exceptional Guide
This universal parenting guide offers valuable insights into understanding and supporting exceptional children. Whether you're a parent, teacher, or caregiver, this book is a great resource for anyone seeking to improve communication and create a nurturing space for kids.
The author is very knowledgeable about the topic and has much experience on the subject. She offers well-explained exercise examples. The step-by-step guides for teaching children to self-regulate and be more independent were particularly helpful - to start building strong emotional skills. I really liked the information about sign language for babies starting to implement it between 6 & 8 months of age.
The narrator's voice is clear and engaging, making it easy to listen to.
I will be recommending this book to many parents and friends.

Universal Parenting Book
It's hard to determine the emotional needs of another person and even more difficult when the other person is your child. It explains why disciplining a child with sensory issues is ineffective. The author offers many alternatives to touch that can be helpful. This is also a good listen for someone interested in parenting to neurodiversity.

Confidence to Parents Helping Children Communicate
This book was a really interesting listen. I have always wondered how to effectively help kids get in touch with their feelings and be able to use words to communicate how they are feeling (especially children with neuro-divergency). I appreciated that this book also focused on the emotional impact of speech and communication.
I was really appreciative of the simplicity and description of the eight parts of communication. Breaking down communication was helpful and made helping children more manageable instead of seeming impossible.
This book has exercises to help, so the knowledge is easily applied. There are also chapters on how to help with communication at home and school, growing into adolescence, so it’s very comprehensive for growing young people.
