Wow! Just Wow!
The ONLY thing that is wrong with this instalment was that we weren’t told the details of the imprisonment! I really wanted to know!!
Susan Ericksen is THE Most PERFECT Narrator for this series. Roarke and Peabody! Especially those two, cannot events bettered!

An excellent, enjoyable story
I have always loved these stories and this one maintains the usual high standard. An inventive murder method. Susan Ericksen's narration is superb as always.

Back on track.
The last few books have felt formulaic but with this book the author is back on track. Some name checks of other characters and appearances by others

How does she do it?
How does she do it? After 50 full novels and countless novellas JD ROBB is still going strong. I have just finished listening to the entire collection of stories. Everyone different and I must say the narrative throughout was excellent I wasn’t disappointed in any books and this was no different. A well loved child doctor is poisoned, everyone Eve and Peabody talk to loved the man.
So who could do such a thing?? it isn’t until the second murder that the clues start to show themselves. Excellent addition to the collection.

One of the few that left you—
Wondering if you knew who the suspect was until the very end of the story.
Well done once again to JD Robb for another excellent book!!
It was nice to see Louise and Charles make an appearance as well as one of my favourites Denis xx
I have listened to all 50 of the in-death series, the voices have matured and grown over time, I can usually close my eyes and I know all the characters. I was though a bit disappointed with Mc Nabb, Morris and Reiniki voices this time around. For me the voices make the story and Susan is in my opinion one of the best narrators around.... it didn’t spoil it for me, but I stopped the story to listen again when they spoke...

Shame as love JD Robb's In Death books.
The reader was the wrong choice, felt no empathy for the characters, usually read one of these in two days. The attempt of the Irish accent was distracting, fell asleep listening. Shame.
