Summary
I knew I'd find my mate, but he doesn't want to be claimed.
It's my job as one of the alpha's enforcers to keep our pack safe, and with war brewing, I'm busier than ever. I should be wholly focused on my job, but when Stefan crosses my path, suddenly, I'm focused on him.
I've always wanted to find my fated mate, and now, I need to convince him that he's mine. The independent omega says he can take care of himself, but all my instincts are driving me to protect him.
How can I convince a man determined not to need anyone that I'll always be there for him?
War rages on around us, bringing us together in the strangest of ways. But as the violence gets worse and threatens the safety of the entire pack, will it be the thing that tears us apart?

Interesting take on shifters
I liked the storyline and the overall mystery of what was going on and the steamy scenes were super hot! My problem was two things: one, I just didn’t like Stefan I thought he was a jerk to nick for 99% of the story and I didn’t really understand his thinking processes at all. Two, to me, the narrator had made the characters sound much younger than grown adults more like teenaged surfer dudes and it really threw me off. Overall I thought it was pretty good and I’ll probably continue on in the story.

Guarding His Mate (Everglow Pack Book 2)by Liam Kingsley and Jenny Tia.This story develops nicely. A good combination of world building and character development. If you like M/Preg and shifter this was a good listen.
The Narrator Mark Ruben did a good job bringing these characters and story to life.

Interesting story,
I hadn't read or listened to the first book, but I still enjoyed the story. There is a hurt/comfort theme - Stefan has been hurt and is a bit gunshy with the whole fated mate thing. Nicolas is patient and is determined to win Stefan over. Overall, it's an interesting story about fated mates and pack politics. The end sets the stage for the next book.
The narration was just ok for me.

Hurt/comfort, fated mates
A fiesty omega guarding his damaged heart determined to give his fated mate a run for his money.
A tough and tender pack enforcer determined to give his fated mate everything he needs, not just what he believes he wants.
The underlying overall series plot is filled with danger, mystery, intrigue, and fast paced action.

A shifter love story
This second book in the Everglow pack series featured a very interesting shifter story following the premise of the fated mates in the middle of a war with a lot of action, intrigue and danger. The love story of Nicolas and Stefan is sweet and full of hope. This amazing book is even better in the great performance of Mark Ruben. His voice is nice and smooth so hearing him is a treat. Loved it!

Brill
This is a brilliant story that continues on from the first book but features different main characters and emerges you back in the world. I found it fun and heartwarming to follow as Nicolas tries to court Stefan who is very resistant through past hurt. We also find out some more interesting information.

Enjoyable afternoon listen
This was one of those books that the narrator manages to bring to life in a spectacular way.
The book and it's story was brought to life and kept me listening and engaged from the first word spoken to the last.

Great continuation
This is a great continuation of the Everglow Pack series. Each book contains the story of an individual couple while advancing the overall story of the wolf shifters and their human attackers. I really enjoy the way the story unfolds with clues and new information. There were definitely some surprises in this one, and like the first book, it ends on a surprise twist. I loved the story of Stefan and Nick. Stefan has been hurt before when the man he was going to mate found his fated mate, so Stefan resists the mating bond and strives to maintain his independence. Nick believes in the bond and is very patient with Stefan. Their growing relationship plays out against a backdrop of war, attacks, suspense, and drama. I like Alpha Hughes and the way he is willing to listen to others who may have useful ideas, regardless of their station, though I don't understand why he doesn't reign in his omega son Sloan. Maybe he gives Sloan the attention he thinks he deserves.
The narration is good although some of the characters come off as very young-sounding, not like adults (Mikel, for example).

A Great Sequel
This is the second book in The Everglow Pack Series. You need to read the first book before this one. A captivating book the writing was good. The plot was entertaining and it was steady throughout the book. I found the story and characters wonderful. The characters were developed and thought out. Nicolas and Stefan are the MC’s of this book and mates. I can recommend this book as a good read/listen. I voluntarily read an advance copy of this book for an honest review.
