About this listen
When Kurtis takes his final breath, everything changes. When Kurtis’s last will was read before his coffin, billionaire Jack Lawrence lost everything he thought he would one day gain, and Meagan gained something much more substantial than she would have ever expected. And neither individual is happy about it.
With the revelation of a lifetime on her shoulders, Meagan leaves and takes a much-needed vacation to cope. When it’s finally time to come back and accept the responsibility bequeathed her, she knows that everything is different between her and her “husband” Jack. She must face the man who has every right to hate her for what she was given. But once accomplishing that task, there is something much deadlier at her back.
With a billion-dollar inheritance in Meagan’s back pocket, people would do anything to either get their share or remove her from the picture entirely. With money comes responsibility and danger that she never would have imagined.
Meagan no longer needs to fear for her financial situation, but her life is a different story.

Everything about this is great.
Maybe I’m biased because I would love a romance like this, but I swooned through each of the three books. The last one ended on a high note, and I can’t say the same for so many other books. Everything about this book was great and I would love to see more in the series.

Wonderful storytelling.
I was not expecting it to end like this, but the books have taken crazy twists and turns from the start, so it was to be anticipated. And while the end was a bold move, I feel like it was the most realistic and heartwarming way to end the series. The way the obstacles and characters have grown from book one is insane. Looking back, I would have never expected them to get this far.

This is one hell of an ending to the series.
I struggle finding genuinely good books, but this short series held my attention from book one, broke my heart, had me crying and gasping alike during many occasions. I must say, everything about this series was excellent. I found that the person reading the series makes it much more entertaining, which would have been difficult to do.

I'm pleased with this.
I love that even in the final book, it is left on a conclusive cliff hanger, but I want to know more about the future of the characters’ relationship. I was never craving more throughout the book until I realized that there are so many things I don’t know. Did they have kids? Live happily together? Fight over washed coffee cups in the morning? I feel like the book made great characters and then left the ending to my imagination.

I will forever stand behind this book.
Don’t we all wish we could have a billionaire like Jack? I must admit, I was hesitant to continue the story after the dramatic end of the last one. I felt like the relationship they worked so hard to build was destroyed. But I was wrong. It seems that the obstacles from the last book was a strengthening catalyst in this one.

I can’t wait to read more from this writer.
It takes a lot to get a five-star review from me. And when I started the series, I have given each book a modest four star review, waiting for something extraordinary to push my rating over the edge. And I’ll be damned, this book exceeded all expectations. The way the characters finally learned to be with one another, and the amazing shock ending were exceptional.

Everything about this audiobook is great!
The only downfall of the book was that it was told in third-person perspective and first-person has always been my preference, especially in audiobooks. Aside from that, it is the kind of book that I would pick out of a lineup every time. The character progression and tension in each of the books is great.

I wasn't disappointed by the story line.
In hindsight, I should have looked at the length of the audiobook. It was a short story, which I don’t usually purchase. I felt like I spent money on a book that didn’t take nearly enough of my time. But whatever the case, I was not disappointed by the storyline. It picked up right where it left off in the second book and reminded me of the reason, I bought the third book despite the length. Without giving spoilers, I can only say it was a good book with a better ending. If you are okay with a good short story, this is one for you.

Pretty good
I could use some more romance between the characters in all of the books. They are short and too much romance might seem unrealistic, but I would hardly call this a romantic book. The voice telling the story is wonderful, but the length and romance inside left much to be desired.

I want more!!!
The only thing I wish about this series is that there was more! They are pretty short, but I knew what I was buying. In such a short story, Meagan and Jack developed a romance that could rival some of the best romances of our time. Nothing felt forced and it was clear from the start they were made for each other. Between Jack’s domineering personality and Meagan’s rebellious one, they were a match made in heaven.
