About this listen

Team Weird is back causing havoc in the Time Police in this irresistible spin-off series by international best seller Jodi Taylor, author of the Chronicles of St Mary's. If you love Doctor Who, Ben Aaronovitch and Jasper Fforde, you'll love the Time Police.

The Time Police do not have problems. They have challenges.

Idiots who want to change history have always proved 'challenging'. But now temporal tourism is on the rise - highly illegal but highly lucrative. If you're prepared to take the risk.

To face down this threat the Time Police will despatch their toughest undercover agents. Which is fine until the unthinkable happens. Replacements are needed fast, and who better than three young officers who don't even look the part?

Step forward Jane, Luke and Matthew. They may be about to graduate, but there's still plenty of time for everything to go wrong. Throw in the Versailles time slip, a covert jump to ancient Egypt and a race against time itself and you've got yourself an assignment worthy of Team Weird.

236 is the magic number!

Team Weird are back with bells on; time slips, illegal travellers and back to the dinosaurs - all in a day's work. I love this series and I love Zara Ramm's narration. When's the next one out?

Absolutely bloody, bollocking brilliant!!!

was slightly concerned about a second time police, wasn't sure where Jodi was going to take them - I should not have been worried; absolutely bloody bollocking, fire-trucking amazing! There had better be a third, ir my life will be sorely lacking.

Zara Ramm, is tremendous as usual.

Some bad edits and mixing but great listen.

Good book. I recommend all 3 in the time police series (so far). There are some bad edits/retakes that jar not to mention a very bad edit or glitch. Annoying but does not distract too much that you'd walk away.

Enjoyable

I really do enjoy Jodi Taylor's writing humour. This isn't quite as good as St Mary's but it's still enjoyable and Zara Ramm is a good narrator.

There was a slight problem with the editing. I found 3 or 4 sections where there was a duplicated sentence as the narrator had a problem repeated the section. It wasn't dramatically obvious and you probably wouldn't have noticed if you weren't listening fully.

FANTASTIC!

Great plot, great characters. I was bereft when I finished the St Mary's books. Jodi Taylor keeps them alive with what is so much more than a spin-off series. Jodie's outstanding books really captivate and together with Zara Ramm's brilliant presentation you feel completely immersed in the story. I have listened to all the St Mary's and Time Police books twice already and they will be 'reread' every year! Can't get enough. Thank you Jodi.

Continues to deliver!

The second book about the Time Police (a spin-off of the St Mary disaster magnets - also a series I highly recommend!!!) is a fire-trucking good read. A worthy follow up of the highly imaginative part one. A small band of misfits travels the timeline to stop illegal time travel and has to deal with all that ensues. Minor accidents, major mishaps, dealing imaginatively with difficult situations, rules, regulations, colleagues and superiors. Ms Ramm reads clearly and has several accents and other voice tricks to really bring the people of the story to life. There is a lot of fun to be had with Ms Taylor’s characters! Get listening!
