an enjoyable light cosy mystery

I enjoyed the descriptions of the countryside. the Americanisms were a bit peculiar but you have to suspend disbelief don't you. listen out for the narrator's peculiar pronunciation of Harrogate, which is mentioned about 50 times in the book so it does get a bit grating. otherwise gentle and a good bedtime read.

Interesting, relatable main characters

Good solid story, not annoying. Nice details about Agatha Christie's life and dog training amd legal issues. Main character's approach to romance was not irritating, which is all I ask for these days.

very enjoyable and good plot

enjoyed story and narration, one too many American words instead of English words which were irritating but otherwise a good listen

OK for free

Story is fine, nothing brilliant but fine to listen to when doing other things. Some Americanisms are a bit odd, trash, dog licence required in England - they're not. Perhaps I'm just too pedantic!

Enjoyable and ok

Story was ok but the constant mention of and comparison with Seattle was quite irritating!

Too much repetition

Started well but then so much repetition with dog, walks and job. Needed some editing

Irritating narration amongst other things. Couldn’t finish the book.

Faux English accent of the narrator - would have been ideal if narrating Brief Encounter. Main character not very engaging.
