Summary
Find your mate and choose your fate.
Caleb Beardsley is a simple omega wolf living out a life that’s already passed its expiration date. He knows he doesn’t have much time left so he’s using what little he does have by using his enhanced sense of smell to detect cancer in humans. If he can save just one life with early detection by acting as a cancer-sniffing dog, it will be mean he’s lived a life well spent...albeit shorter than it should’ve been.
No majicks or tricks, nor cheat or spell… conceal you’re Fae and hide it well.
Tobias of the Coppersmith Clan is gobsmacked when a long-forgotten portal to the human realm appears in his bedchamber. What else can he do but cross through and see what awaits him on the other side? He finds the Legacy Warriors and a Fae prince waiting to greet him. When they offer him a miraculous opportunity to find his heartsong, Tobias isn’t about to turn them down.
You can reveal all after love’s true kiss.
Tobias is stunned to discover his human heartsong is dying. Thankfully, the way to save him is to offer him the grandest adventure of all - one that involves immortal life, fated love, and a chance at a forever family in the Fae realm. The only problem is...before he can save his life, he first has to get Caleb to fall in love with him without using majicks or tricks.
This is the first in a new series that is the fifth in a shared world that began with the Northern Lodge Pack. This novel contains a lot of magic, fluffy feels, and adorable, chittering fairy stalkers. Intended for readers 18+. Grab a tissue and expect to tear up a couple times before you cry happy tears. What else can you expect from Susi Hawke?
Note: Each of the series stand alone, but if you want to know where it began, this is the order of the series contained in this World:
- Northern Lodge Pack
- Northern Pines Den
- The Blood Legacy Chronicles
- Legacy Warriors
- Choose Your Fate

A new series to love :)
This is going to be another his series for Ms. Hawke. The story is really enjoyable, with well rounded characters. The description of the world that Tobias comes from reminded me of a mixture of worlds found at the top of The Faraway Tree (by Enid Blyton; I so wanted to go there :) )
Caleb and Tobias were a fun couple - I loved seeing their journey develop from love into a family. There was so much that happened for a relatively short story.
Drew Bacca is fast becoming one of my favourite narrators - he has such a wide range of different voices, all quite distinct. He's able to do accents quite well, as well. For example, his Tobias had an Irish lilt, while a couple of his brothers had different English tones -enough to make the Brit in me happy.
This is definitely the way to enjoy this book.
Ms Hawke, you have to keep Drew Bacca for all your books!
I was provided a copy for my enjoyment. My review is unsolicited and unbiased.

Great listen
I haven't read the book since it came out so listening to it now was like reading it for the first time again. I forgot how much I enjoyed the book. The narrator did a fantastic job with the characters.

unique and clever story
this was a really unique and clever story, I enjoyed the plot and premise of it a lot. This managed to be sweet and light yet still be emotional. I enjoyed it more than I was expecting to! Drews narration always fits in perfectly with Susi's books and this was no exception!

Saving his mate...
Nice paranormal story, a bit different with realms where shifters can be sick and faes can not live amongst them.
When Tobias finds his choice to find his heartsong, I was rooting for him. One month to find them and capture their heart. Caleb is such a giver helping others with his gift. He deserved all the happiness. True mates, true friendship, generous gods and a beautiful family. Loved the concept.

Sweet, fluffy and cute short story!
I love Susi's work and this is no exception! A different fated mates tale, across realms and against a deadly (human) disease; I loved the journey these two took. Caleb and Tobias are perfect together, their back and forth, the love and the total cuteness will just melt your heart! I think I'm a bit jaded from the recent books I've reads that I kept expecting something bad to happen or "the other shoe to drop" but thankfully there is none of that and this is just a perfect, happy, fated-mates tale with a wonderful HEA beautifully done by Susi! If you're after a short, sweet, happily ever after fantasy fated mates tale then look no further!
Thanks for reading!

Good fairy and his wolf mate
This is a lovely new addition to the continuing storyline of the Legacy/Legacy Warriors saga characters focussing on the Fae.
I love how Tobias is given the opportunity to find his true mate/heartsong in the human realm by the Fae Prince and the Legacy Warriors. I thought the introduction to Caleb in his cancer-sniffing dog pretence was cute and heart rending.
As always, Susi Hawke does a wonderful job of crafting a sweet but fun tale of magic and shifters, and Drew Bacca does an excellent job of bringing the characters to life while transporting us into their world. Do you believe in magic? If you do or you're a fan of fairies and shifters then I highly recommend this audiobook for you.

New series
This is a new series, one that is a spin off of the Legacy series, about omega wolf Caleb, who doesn’t have much time left and Tobias a fae who finds a portal in his bedroom!
This audio is really good and I loved Drew Bacca’s voice.

Heart warming audio
I really like the way Susie Hawke has a common ancestry for her books. Caleb is a beautiful soul. Tobias is a great guy(fae). The first half while Caleb is sick is potentially quite sad but has a good thread of humour through it.
The second half in the Fae realm is much more joyous, with fairies and orphans, gregarious families and waterfalls.
Drew Bacca does a lovely job of telling this story and characterising the voices.
