About this listen

Drew Beaumont is bored of the same old roles: action hero, supervillain, romantic lead. He’s not going to let a fresh gay buddy comedy languish just because they can’t find him the right costar. No, Drew bats his eyelashes and convinces everyone that the movie’s writer should play Drew’s not-so-straight man.

Aspiring writer Steve Sopol has never had a screenplay optioned. Now, one of Hollywood’s hottest properties wants to be in a movie Steve hasn’t finished writing - and he wants Steve as his costar. Turns out the chemistry between them is undeniable - on and offscreen.

Drew swore off dating in the biz, but Steve is the whole package: sharp, funny, humble, and cute. For Steve, though, giving in to the movie magic means the end of the privacy he cherishes.

Will the credits roll before their ride into the sunset?

Two men fall in love

This is a story about two men who meet on a movie set and fall in love, I enjoyed it for the simplicity of the story and the good flow between both the main characters, there were no angst, no major drama which left me just relaxing and listening to Kenneth’s voice, perfect!!!

Kenneth’s narration was really good and he kept the story going, his character voices were good and easily distinguishable.

fun and sweet

What a cute book. Low angst and a really sweet relationship. There's potential for more from this world too.
As always, Kenneth Obi enhances the story with his charm and humour.

Horrible

I listened half and could not take it any longer. It just went on and on. This happened, then that, he said something, they smiled. I missed a sence of character, a plot, and some tension.
It was made worse by the narrator droning on and on in a matter of fact tone. He made no difference between thoughts, quotes and other occurrences, making every scene difficult to understand.
