Summary

In tie-down roping, there are a lot of technicalities. You need to know how to properly throw your rope, condition yourself and your horse, maintain your gear, and have an understanding of the history and riding styles that led to the modern-day event you see today.

In this book, you will discover all of the knowledge you need to pick ropes, throw properly, problem-solve your tie-down roping issues, and gain a thorough understanding of the industry, along with historical information that built the sport as we know it today.

This book will help you build the confidence to be able to pursue tie-down roping effectively and efficiently. You will be able to practice your rope throws and learn about the importance of your wrist and elbow angles.

You can look forward to learning all about:

  • The artform of tie-down roping
  • Tools, ropes, and training drills
  • Getting started and an in-depth look at ropes, along with the mechanics and logistics of every aspect of tie-down
  • All about the Vaqueros and the elusive Californio bridle horse that shaped the roping industry as we know it today!

Educational about competing

I like audiobooks about competitions involving horses but I never understand the rules and training behind tie-down rope competitions. I learned a lot from this book!
