She grew up in Huckleberry Bottom which is a rural section of RR where she was raised as an herbalist as her ancestors were mixed with African American and Native American backgrounds from Cherokee and Sioux tribes. She grew up surrounded by a wooded area with farms, gardens, pigs and chickens and moved to major cities before she returned home.
She delivered all of her children naturally with no medications and continues to raise them as herbalist.
