Summary

Ian MacKeefe is haunted by the demons in his head, taunting him of his tarnished past. And then in the fire on All Hallow's Eve, he sees the face of Tearlach MacTavish, the man he'd killed and buried three years ago. Not a settling thought since this is the night when the veil is pushed aside and the dead are said to be able to come back to life.

Kyla has grown up with Ian, as her brother is his best friend. And while Ian thinks of her as naught more than a wee sister, she has fallen in love with him through the years, and plans on proving to him she is much more than he thinks.

But love is the last thing on Ian's mind, especially when their clan chieftain makes an alliance with their enemies, betrothing Kyla to the MacTavishes - and Ian is faced with more demons once again.

Can Ian overcome his past before it's too late for him to notice that the lassie he's considered naught more than a wee sister, Kyla, is a strong, beautiful woman who he is about to lose forever?

A great book

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story. I like the characters and the author is a very good storyteller. The historical times and the blend of romance were well matched. There was intrigue and suspense. The characters were a refreshing blend of darkness and superstitions. I enjoyed reading this book. This is Ian and Kyla’s story. Ian is Adain’s friend. Adain and Kyla are siblings, They all grew up together Ian sees Kyla as a little sister, but she loves him. She has to prove to him she is grown up and that she is more than a little sister to her brother and his friend. First they have to face some hard experiences to be able to love each other. I loved this story. I highly recommend this series

Really enjoyed it

This is the 2nd time im listening to this series and I enjoyed it even more than the first time as this time I listened to the previous series before, so when they mentioned the characters that were in the previous series I knew who they were. Tim Campbell was great as usual. He is my favourite narrator. Definitely worth a credit. Now on to the next series.

Ian

Well this is the last book in the Mad Man Mackeef Series. I have truly enjoyed every one. I really don’t want them to end. This story is about Ian and Aidans sister Kyla. She loved him from when she was a
Child and followed him everywhere. She would drive him mad, she would be in his face all the time. This book had lots of excitement and drama and a slow burn of romance. The narration was excellent.. He told the story very well. Thank You Miss Rose for writing an incredible series. I loved this book.
