About this listen

From the International number one best-selling author of the DCI Ryan Mysteries.

A Best Audiobook- Fiction Finalist at the New York Festivals Radio Awards .

Impostor, is the first instalment in Ross's brand new Dr Alex Gregory series, narrated by actor Hugh Dancy.

After an elite criminal profiling unit is shut down amid a storm of scandal and mismanagement, only one person emerges unscathed. Forensic psychiatrist, Doctor Alexander Gregory, has a reputation for being able to step inside the darkest minds to uncover whatever secrets lie hidden there and, soon enough, he finds himself drawn into the murky world of murder investigation. In the beautiful hills of County Mayo, Ireland, a killer is on the loose. Panic has a stranglehold on its rural community, and the Garda are running out of time. Gregory has sworn to follow a quiet life but, when the call comes, can he refuse to help their desperate search for justice?

Murder and mystery are peppered with dark humour in this fast-paced thriller set amidst the spectacular Irish landscape.

good Story, very poor Irish accent in narration

enjoyed the story very much.however, the Irish accent used by the narrator was not only poorly executed, but also the very wrong one for the region Used as background with wrong pronunciation of local towns. unfortunately, narrator only learned after chapter 3 how to pronounce Aideen. apart from accent, good narration!

a good listen, well worth the time

A pleasantly complex plot which moves a a decent pace, requiring the listener to think about what's going on. I like the little nod to the author's other imperfect principal character .

Imposter

Generally enjoyed the book. Some pronunciation issues, and an error relating to the number of victims about an hour before the book ends. Should have been picked up in editing, but only a minor point.
