Summary

Pro quarterback Cade Prescott's last play was to lose the Super Bowl for his team. To escape the bad press and recover from the disastrous season, he changes his appearance and hides away at a sleepy university town.

Andie Wales's first love is researching ancient bad boy kings. She is blissfully unaware of the Super Bowl and modern day bad boys. When her dog meets and mates with Cade's dog, Andie's first concern is to get her dog to a vet. She gets waylaid by Cade and his hunky good looks and has no idea just how out of her league Cade is.

Despite his secrets, Cade feels differently about Andie and thinks he might be falling in love. Unfortunately, his past catches up with him, and he is forced to make a difficult decision. Can a professional athlete and a research librarian truly prove the axiom that opposites not just attract, but were meant for each other?

Cliffhanger. Cade and Andie's story continues in Part Two.

Great Story!

I was hooked on this book from the very beginning. I am looking forward to listening to the next book in the series. I hope the remaining books (3 - 6) are made into audiobooks. I enjoy the opposite characters of Andi and Cade. I am a dog lover and enjoy hearing about Golley and Red as well. I did not rate the book higher due to the fact that its a cliffhanger ending. (I do not like cliffhangers!) My preference would have been a much longer complete story instead of separate books. My review is not a synopsis of the book, but rather my opinion of it.

Fun beginning to the series!

Sports romances are always a fun read and this serial story definitely has kept me intrigued. Meet Cade Prescott, quarterback who just screwed up his chance at winning the Superbowl. He goes in to hiding, and meets Andie Wale, librarian, who knows nothing of football, and the adventure begins. I am really enjoying their interaction, the history of their lives and meeting Andie's parents. Rachelle Ayala does a very good job of introducing Andie's dad to us, recovering from a stroke and the difficulties he is facing. When you have real life situations that occur in the storyline, it definitely makes it much more interesting to me. While the relationship of Cade and Andie progresses, the real stars of the story come out..the dogs. Red and Gollie are so cute and fun! Their relationship will bring a smile to your face each time they get together. Just be aware, this is a story in parts, so the first does end on a cliffhanger, so make sure you have book 2 ready to go!

Narrated by Chris Abell, he performs this story so well, you get lost for the hours that he is reading. I love the way he can bring the story to life with his voices, easily discerning each character and making you able to picture each as they speak. Wonderful start to this series!

A Great Start to a New Series for Me

This is the first book in a series about pro quarterback Cade who's just made the biggest mistake of his career, costing his team the Superbowl and librarian Andie who doesn't follow sports.

This is a great story about how opposites attract, the chemistry between Andie and Cade is palpable and real.

Chris Abell did a great job narrating.

I can't wait to find out what happens between Andie and Cade (and their dogs ;) )

An Entertaining Part One. Bring on the rest!

It is a rare romance that can successfully throw together American football with the biblical King David in equal measures. The result is sweet, quirky, sexy and surprisingly real. Andy and Kade's story is a clear case of instant opposites attracting and the characters are stretched beyond their comfort zones. Between the mating dogs, the hidden identities and the infactuation with King David, the reader is in for an entertaining tussle. And this is only half of the tale.... i cannot wait to hear the rest!

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.
