Summary

Islam has been mentioned for centuries in Christianity. But is Islam a religion or a sect?

Addressing the way in which the Catholic faith has viewed Islam from Vatican Council II onwards, this audiobook outlines the teachings of the Catholic church about Islam starting with Lumen Gentium, Ecclesiam Suam, and Nostra Aetate, followed by the writings of various popes on the subject, including Saint John Paul II, Pope Benedict XVI, and Pope Francis.

It also presents the teachings found in The Catechism of the Catholic Church about the relationship between Catholics and Muslims, as well as the true meaning of the famous saying, "Outside the church there is no salvation."

Useless

This audio is absolutely terrible and not worth the listen.

As a series of quotes largely jfrom various popes and the Catholic church making nice platitudes about Islam it is fine if that is what you want. Do many senior Islamic clerics say similar in reverse? Somehow I doubt it!

The main problem of this audio though is not the message, such as it is but the narrator. Whatever you are going to put out there for people to listen to it is important that the voice conveys the written word and give it life. This sounded like it was narrated by a robot with a slight speech impediment so the words are flat and muffled with the result that any message is just lost making the exercise pointless.
