Summary
Immortality isn’t always a blessing...sometimes, it’s a curse!
An old sorcerer is how everyone knows him, but Orrick Pendragon has only chosen to shape-shift into the image an old man because of his painful past. When he stole the Eternal Flame more than 100 years ago, he had no idea of the consequences of his action. Being immortal and also married, he had to watch as his loving wife grew old and died while he stayed young and continued to live forever. Heartbroken, he swore he would never fall in love again. But when Lady Hope appears at his tower door seeking his assistance to find the Eternal Flame, he's intrigued and strangely attracted to her. Against his better judgment, he finds himself shape-shifting back into his young and handsome form of Sir Rick.
Lady Hope Threston arrives at Blake Castle as Lord Corbett's ward. However, it is only a ploy on her part to get what she wants. She's been betrothed to Lord Irwin, a blackhearted, greedy man. In order to convince him to break the betrothal, she agrees to help him find the Eternal Flame. However, she needs the assistance of the old sorcerer to do it. Lord Irwin wants to be powerful, invincible, and immortal, but all she wants is to be free. Then she meets the handsome Sir Rick, and magically, everything changes.
Can an immortal man who is destined to live forever find love again with a mortal woman who is bound to die?

Orrick Keeper of the flame
Well, we had some mountain magic in this book. I am so glad that the brothers and sisters and their extended families follow from book to book. It is like having your family and friends with you. You know who they are and expect a way of life from them, and a caring as if you belong to them. Orrick has been in few books that Miss Rose has written and he is the teller of future events which are about to happen.
In this book Orrick has a love interest, and wants to pass the eternal flame onto another person. Little Noah at six years of age was too young. So they needed Some one to stand in for four years. They chose a mad man. The narration was excellent and the story was perfect. Thank You Miss Rose for this wonderful book.

adorable love story
An awesome story as always.
Combining medieval romance and fantasy into a clever, intriguing story, the author manages to make both characters come alive and grow in a realistic way, each of them marked by their past, each of them struggling to find a way to not just survive, but live again.
Orrick Pendragon is immortal and it’s not easy to live on while all those you love don’t. A short but intriguing story. If you love King Arthur stories, this is for you.

Loved it
Loved every second of it. I just couldn't put it down. This is the story about old Auric the sorcerer, but he shifts to his young self. It was nice having Corbett and Devon Blake back in the story. Their story was the first book in the first series Legend of the Blade. Ther narrator was brilliant. I love Kevin Green's voice. He has a different voice for every character. Now on to the next book of Second in Command. Alexander's story.

What a riveting story!
Orrick/Sir Rick- a Sorcerer (not a Wizard) and keeper of the flame
Hope- at Blake castle with her betrothed and sister to steal the Eternal flame.
I enjoyed reading this entertaining magical romance story that is fantastically written with charismatic characters . Loved how everything unraveled and they will have a very satisfying HEA!
Noah - a mysterious young boy (now 6) that was left at the church by his birth parents Corbett and Devon took him in. A very key character in this story he is a typical 6 year old wants attention just to bad the adults really don't listen to what he says.
Narrated by Kevin E Green who did a fantastic job with the voices of Orrick and sir Rick. He also did a wonderful job in telling of the story!.
