Summary
Brandon Sanderson is one of the most significant fantasists to enter the field in a good many years. His ambitious, multi-volume epics and his stellar continuation of Robert Jordan's Wheel of Timeseries have earned both critical acclaim and a substantial popular following. In Legion, a distinctly contemporary novella filled with suspense, humor, and an endless flow of invention, Sanderson reveals a startling new facet of his singular narrative talent.
Stephen Leeds, AKA 'Legion', is a man whose unique mental condition allows him to generate a multitude of personae: hallucinatory entities with a wide variety of personal characteristics and a vast array of highly specialised skills.
As the story begins, Leeds and his 'aspects' are drawn into the search for the missing Balubal Razon, inventor of a camera whose astonishing properties could alter our understanding of human history and change the very structure of society. The action ranges from the familiar environs of America to the ancient, divided city of Jerusalem. Along the way, Sanderson touches on a formidable assortment of complex questions: the nature of time, the mysteries of the human mind, the potential uses of technology, and the volatile connection between politics and faith.
Resonant, intelligent, and thoroughly absorbing, Legionis a provocative entertainment from a writer of great originality and seemingly limitless gifts. Read by Oliver Wyman.

Great
Great concepts, great execution. It's about the line between genius and madness, a special line you've never seen before. Dotted with humour to keep the tone light. The story is too short to regret it, even if you don't believe me.

Great on all points
Pre script: The book noted as the third of the series is actually a collection of all three.
Short but brilliant I think if it had been much longer it could have sourced the story.
Next book is longer and just as good deffently worth it.

Great short story,
Some interesting ideas which I hope the author expands upon it future.
The narration was very good, with the variety of characters being immediately identifiable and not grating.

A fun concept
The concept is really interesting. I'm looking forward to further outings. It is often cringe worthy when US authors touch on international politics. In particular when the subject matter is Israel and Palestine. Sanderson does it better than most - but it is still inaccurate.
Still I'm looking forward to future stories in this series.

A master storyteller....
This is a master lesson in how to write a short story:
1 – come up with a novel new idea;
2 – give some useful scene setting and character introductions to get it all going;
3 – launch into a good, well-structured story with clear plot;
4 – bring it to a nice tidy conclusion, that everyone sort of expected, but….
5 – twist it just ever so slightly so the reader is left feeling completely satisfied.
Short and perfectly formed. This is “modern” Sanderson. Not tied to an epic tale or a fantasy world, but just taking a really interesting character, and telling a really good story with him. And it all hangs together perfectly with no gaping or convenient holes in the plot.
Really enjoyed Legion – and although it seems a very short story to be parting with a credit for, it was very much worth it. Light-hearted, with good humour, well-written and very well narrated. All the "characters" are perfectly formed.....
There is a deeper-level if you want to go there, e.g., do we really want to know which religion is older, or how it all started? But if you stay at the surface, it’s pure entertainment from start to finish. Somehow I had failed to read the “blurb” about this story, so had no idea what it was all about – maybe that added to my enjoyment? I was completely surprised by it…….it’s got none of Sanderson’s normal magic or fantasy aspect – just his humour and clever story telling. (I chose to download this because it was a Sanderson story that I’d been ignoring because I’d considered it too short – and then couldn’t find anything else I felt like listening to, so took a punt – very glad I did, and I have just downloaded the next in the series too).
If you're a Sanderson fan, treat yourself.

Great little short story, with wonderful accents.
A really interesting sci-fi story. The characters are very distinctive and you really start to feel you know them. Would listen again.

Disappointingly short
Fascinating idea, excellent writing, but... Where's the rest of it? This is a short story - not a book. It's literally 2 chapters long :-(
