Absolutely Adored this Book
If there is anything I could use, it's a how-to on how to be an adult. I've only just graduated college and now I have to start living it up as my own person. This book helped me immensely. It was an all-encompassing guide of anything I could've ever thought to ask, along with tons of things I never would have thought of. I love how it taught me everything from budgeting to taxes, to car payments, to a good work-life balance. It even gave tips on socializing, All of the tips felt new and unique and were presented in a very absorbable way that helped me pay attention and implement them into my daily life. Listening to this book on my drive to work each morning gave me a huge boost those days and I was even able to implement some of the social tips with my coworkers. It helped me get myself out there and really start living. Amazing book!

A rational, no-nonsense guide
This audiobook is refreshingly frank about adulting, cutting past the noise with no-holds-barred, real-life advice. The author's writing is sharp, witty, and engaging, rendering even dull topics like healthcare and budgeting into something almost exciting. The narration is as assured and conversational as the book, holding listeners without being condescending. While parts of it are a bit glib about knotty topics, they provide an adequate starting point for young adults who wish to survive in the real world. I think it is ideal for those who feel ill-equipped for the realities of adulthood and acts as a worthwhile crash course in life skills that schools often neglect.

People with Life Skills
As I listened to this audiobook, I learned a few things, like American tradition and caring for healthcare. Building relationships with healthcare will prepare you to take care of your grandparents, who may have Alzheimer’s. I can feel confident that I can help seniors calmly and peacefully and that all will be well. I don’t know much about picking a physician because some people, like seniors or teens, may not know how to keep a reasonable budget when investing or saving for future needs. First, we need to take care of our health before deciding to work and get insurance from our employer to know which insurance is right for our family.

Such a fun listen
Wow, what a fun listen! This audiobook is like a crash course in adulting for anyone who feels like they missed out on the basics. Seriously, it covers all those things you wish you knew by now—like cooking, budgeting, and handling life's curveballs. The author delivers the info in such a chill way that you can't help but feel like you’re chatting with a friend. I especially loved the practical tips that actually make sense and are easy to implement. If you're ready to level up your adulting game and tackle life like a pro, you definitely need to check this one out! It’s super helpful and honestly a little hilarious, too!

Essential life skills for kids and parents!
I got this audiobook to listen to with my teenage daughter, and I was blown away by the wealth of practical knowledge it offers—insights that aren’t typically discussed but are so essential. The sections on dating and social connection red flags were incredibly eye-opening, and I personally found the chapter on social etiquette extremely valuable. I also appreciated the emphasis on preparing for independence, especially the guidance on handling emergency situations that any family could face. The chapter on the challenges and risks of the digital world was particularly relevant in today’s society. This audiobook is a must-listen for any teen (and parent) looking for real-world wisdom!

I like this audiobook!
I remember when my younger cousin moved out for college, excited but completely unprepared for the real world. One day, she called me in panic because she had no idea how to handle a simple doctor's appointment. I wish I had this audiobook to give her back then. Listening to it now, it feels like the guide every young adult needs. It covers so many everyday things that most people assume you just “know,” but no one actually teaches you. I liked how the book explains things that we did not that can be mentioned to the younger ones!

A Swiss army knife for adulting
Okay, real talk: adulting can be terrifying. "Life Skills 101" is the survival guide I wish I'd had earlier. This audiobook doesn't sugarcoat the challenges; it tackles them head-on, offering practical, no-nonsense advice on everything from navigating the healthcare maze and deciphering online dating red flags to managing finances without living on ramen and even mastering basic social etiquette (who knew tipping was so complicated?). This isn't some fluffy self-help book; it's a crash course in the stuff school forgot to teach us, turning "what now?" moments into "I got this!" confidence. If you're a young adult feeling lost in the wilderness of adulthood, this book is your compass, your map, and your trusty Swiss army knife, all rolled into one.

I am 61 and I learned a lot from this book!!!
This book covers a lot of subjects. It highlights the most important parts of each subject. I liked that I could pick 1 life skill and work on just that one then pick another so I was not overwhelmed. The topics were covered in a fun way. A really good book to have.
