Summary
System Initiating…
Valhalla Protocol Activated…
Welcome, Magnus —Insert Surname—, you have spawned into a level 70 city—soon to be dungeon. All safe zones are transitory. Due to the city’s failing infrastructure a permanent safe zone cannot be established at this time.
For Magnus Stavanger and his family, that message marked the end of the world as they knew it.
While he expected his time in New Orleans to be eventful, the last thing he anticipated was the System generated apocalypse. Seriously, he’d come down here for a work conference/family vacation, not the damn end of the world.
As for the upsides—his family was with him, and his oldest friend lived nearby. Of course, nearby was relative with aliens and living statues around every corner. Faced with an entire new reality, he must guide his family through hostile entities to meet up with his friend.
The question is, can he make it? Armed with new abilities, a flaming axe, and a will to do what was needed, he just might.
Follow Magnus and his family through the streets of New Orleans to meet Iain Clark.

Great short story
I love little extras like this you can slot in for a bit more background. I could always listen to more from Ken, but sometimes it’s nice to have something you can listen to in a short burst. All of Ken’s books are great and this is no exception; great little story and amazingly narrated.
Can’t wait for more!!
