Summary
Lord James Harrington and his wife, Beth, happen upon a road accident where the driver, Bernard Potter, is seriously injured. While giving first-aid, Potter mumbles concerns about his daughter which James takes as the ramblings of a dying man. But, when visiting Mrs Potter, they realise that her husband, a police constable, was secretly investigating the goings-on at a local commune where his daughter lived.
Meanwhile, James’ cousin, Herbie, is helping Scotland Yard with an art fraud ring that has extended its reach into Sussex. And, when GJ is approached to be a part of that enterprise, James is drawn into both investigations.

Loved it!
I really enjoyed this story and the narrating was as good as usual. That is to say that Bert still seems to shout everything, but other than that (yes, it's my usual gripe) it was great. Looking forward to the next one.

Excellent
Another excellent book by an author who keeps your interest throughout. Some twists and turns, red herrings ....

Another great book in the series
I enjoyed listening and really hope there are more come in the series. One thing I like in this series is, whilst Lord and Lady Harrington get into scrapes, it is not always like other books of the genre where the hero(s)/heroine(s) go blindly into a situation in the last chapter or two, find they have accidently discovered the culprit and are now in mortal danger and need rescuing or some cunning plan to escape.

Enjoyable romp
I have enjoyed listening o=to all of the James Harrignton books
Story will hold you with out being to heavy., so easy to step in and out of with out getting confused.
All set in 1950s with a great list of characters although some of them of pretty stereotyped.
