Summary

Año 844, los vikingos atacan las costas de España. Después de haber sometido Irlanda y media Inglaterra, asolar Francia y sojuzgar nada menos que París y Nantes, los normandos desembarcan en la Torre de Hércules, en La Coruña. 

En tierras gallegas serán derrotados por las huestes del reino de Asturias. Pasarán después a sangre y fuego Lisboa, Cádiz, y Sevilla, pero también aquí terminarán vencidos por los ejércitos del emir Abderramán. Todo ello en un tiempo en el que crecían los grandes monumentos en las faldas del Naranco, avanzaba la repoblación de Castilla, los cristianos intentaban la reconquista de León, y el emirato de Córdoba vivía turbias intrigas políticas.
