2021: Jack Storm a detective in York Massachusetts has been on the job for two weeks. Cavanaugh his boss is pressuring him to close a case, and to find out what is going on down at the river. Jack is also receiving text and emails from George a retired York detective working a cold case from 1982.
1982: Shawn Pennington a York high school senior plays on the ice hockey team and works at his dad’s automotive repair shop. His life is filled with high school expectations, upcoming graduation celebrations and whatever problems come his way, like joc’s vs skids. A day in York doesn’t go by without a fight between the two groups of teenagers. The joc’s have a Saturday night bonfire, to celebrate the victory in the hockey game against a local rival, Concord. The skids show up to the bonfire and challenge the joc’s to a fight. The celebration, fight and bonfire rage on into the night. In the confusion a young girl attending the bonfire goes missing.
2021: 39 years later Jack Storm attempts to close the cold case, the media has been calling Missing Girl 82. The York Police Department must give the family of the missing girl closure. Jack needs to identify the people involved and close the case for good this time. A final meeting with Shawn Pennington to confirm the details of what happened in 1982 is iminent. Jack knows it's not going to be easy but he wants to prove he has what it takes to be a good detective. Then he will get a transfer back home to South Boston.
