Summary
I paused, then continued. “Time went by, and I got to study Luna more. Much like her name, which meant ‘moon’, I got to see her only at night when she would sit on the steps of her room and watch others have fun from afar. Her lips would part slightly on very rare occasions, and a beautifully crafted smile would glisten in the pale moonlight. She had a smile to die for.”
Dr. Walsh smiled a little before continuing her scribbling. She was a therapist. She must have heard countless stories of people who fell in love with someone and thought they were the world. She looked at me like I was cute, like the innocence that came with true love was adorable.
Archer Currey’s passion is to collect real-life stories from his neighborhood and transfer them into book format. This is the first of his many upcoming projects: Moon Behind the Clouds.
It’s a clean, sweet romance novel, based on a real-life story, that’s suitable for listeners of all ages.
From the very first moment when Christian Frantz met Luna Maxwell, he thought she was perfect. However, he would eventually find out that, regardless of its size, everyone has a flaw. Even waters that seem pristine and clean on the surface can hide murk beneath them. What do you do when you find out that the one you thought was perfect is, in fact, only human?
Do you ignore their imperfections? Do you give them the space to work through their issues and let them know that you’re there whenever they need you? Or do you leave?
Listen to the story of Christian and Luna, and find out how our choices affect our relationships. Can love withstand any test? Is there a limit to how far love can stretch before it snaps? Does love last forever?
Follow Christian and Luna as they discover how their love can withstand the various hurdles that time and tide throw their way and how they navigate unfamiliar waters to get to their destination.
What do you do if the boat sinks? Is another opportunity waiting? This book discusses these questions and many more.
“The gentle tap came again. Now I was certain it was my door. Reluctantly, I got down from my bed and pulled myself to the door, overtaken by a mixture of anger, intrigue, and confusion.
“I was angry that my sleep was disturbed but I wanted to know who was there and why. Answers sometimes come quicker than we expect them. My anger dissipated as soon as I opened the door. The person knocking must not have timed their knock very well because as soon as I opened the door, their last knock hit my chest since I was a little bit taller. It was Luna. She was wearing tracksuit pants and a t-shirt that hugged her body slightly, and she was looking at me apologetically. That was the second time I saw her.”

This was lovely!
My daughter loved this audiobook. The story began in the doctor's office. It was Dr. Walsh's office and this is how we are introduced to our main character Christian and how she met Luna. Enjoyable!

Impressive!
Moon Behind the Clouds is a good listen to about young love. Much like the therapy sessions it describes, the tale flies by in a bittersweet fashion. Worth listening to if you’re looking for something light and clean.

Brilliant. Witty. Irrepressible.
Brilliant. Witty. Irrepressible. God and Noah feature as characters but the irreligious need not fear as they get scant respect. Great well-drawn characters. Thanks to my cousin for the recommendation and I'm straight on to the next book.
