Summary
Jackson Kelly may have been middle-aged and the vice president of the exclusive Oceana Resort Hotel. But Jackson loved to surf. And he loved the ladies, who were mostly young women he referred to as his “diversions”.
When he dies on the beach while surfing with no apparent injuries, the question is: “What happened to him?” Too bad he had an angry-looking rash on his leg.
And Dani and Arthur were only at the resort to cater a dinner meeting for the resort’s stockholders! When the coroner says, yes, it was murder, they have their work cut out for them - another mystery to solve.
The owner of the resort and his family have a lot to gain financially if Jackson’s dead. But maybe, it was a crime of passion. His wife or current “diversion” could have done it. A lot of interests to be protected. Greed, revenge, hatred - those are all possible motives.

Not just great for on the beach
I really enjoyed this book. I am really liking the different locations that this series is taking you to. The author paints a very imaginable picture of each setting (not sure if they are based on real places but in my mind they are). I like the characters, especially the young niece who's excitement for everything comes across well, bringing a smile to you face with each new adventure. The mystery was good but I had worked out who the killer was and why, despite there being plenty of suspects. This is only book three in the Chef Dani Rosetti series but It is quickly becoming a must listen to series because they colourful, fun cozy mystery just right for on the beach on in your own back garden.
Chef Dani Rosetti is once again catering a meal at a high end hotel for the resort’s stockholders. Along with her
Bodyguard turned sous-chef Arthur and her young niece Anna. Anna is excited to practice her surfing but for Dani and Arthur they will be solving another murder mystery. The vice-president of the resort dies seconds after returning from his daily surfing. The President of the resort hires Arthur to find the killer, as both him and his son top the list of suspects who most wanted him dead. With Anna's surfing hero a possible suspect too, will Arthur have to break the heart of the little girl he has become so find of or is there yet more suspects to question? Can they catch the killer before they have to move on to there next catering job?
I like the narrator as she does a number of different voices for the characters making it easy to follow the story.
