About this listen
A Nameless Hunchback must Stop the Army of the Dead
Can he Save the Innocent People of his City?
It's Harry Potter Meets Michael Crichton's Eaters of the Dead
The 1800's city of Geneva is plagued by Darklings, cloaked figures who kidnap and murder it's impoverished residents during the night.
While the rich hide safely behind their high stone walls the poor are forced to patrol their own borders to ward off the evil foes. When a nameless, deformed indentured servant comes of age he is commanded by law into the night to protect the city, he becomes an unlikely hero that saves the mayor's daughter from a Darkling attack.
But the nameless boy realizes there is more to the Darklings than the city's residents have been told. Joined by the mayor's daughter and his only friend, another local boy he investigates the cause of the attacks. What they uncover is far blacker than the cloaks of the Darklings...
Critic reviews
"The twists and turns of the plot kept the story moving at a steady pace. While primarily a young adult novel, this book ventures into the realms of Stephen King-esque gore and Gothic horror. Comeau skillfully leads the narrative to a climactic unraveling of the mystery behind the Darklings’ reign of terror. The finale is brilliantly executed, leaving an indelible mark in the realm of young adult fiction with its ingenious and mind-bending resolution. Nameless vs. The Army of the Dead is not just a thrilling read but an exploration of courage, camaraderie, and the fight against overwhelming darkness."—Committee for the Literary Titan Book Award.
"Very Fascinating! I am very glad I read it! The story was remarkable, kept me absorbed all throughout—5 out of 5"—Cheryl of Cheryl Reviews

Thrilling, engaging, and fun!
This audiobook kept me on the edge of my seat. It has fascinating characters and plot twists. A nameless hunchbacked hero emerges in the 1800s city of Geneva besieged by malevolent Darklings. Tasked with defending a city that marginalizes him, the protagonist's journey from a servant to the city's unlikely savior is unpredictably exciting. As he saves the mayor's daughter from a gruesome fate, he, the major's daughter, and his only other friend join forces to look into the attacks. They uncover a darker and deeper mystery. The thrilling and engaging story goes beyond a typical tale of good versus evil. I highly recommend it to those who enjoy fantasy, adventure, and horror.

Enthralling
A brilliant blend of adventure, horror and magic, this book really kept me hooked from start to finish. The way the hero deals with the diverse challenges thrown at him is awesome, and I loved the backstories and subplots that kept all aspects of the story interesting.
It is also brilliantly performed with background music and sound effects that make the listening experience as good as the story itself.
A hidden gem!

Team Nameless!
This is a great fantasy/horror novel. The character development is excellent, the narration brings it to life. ( the screams are very real because my dog had a fit every time someone screamed). I liked all the weird creatures that were sort of like zombies and vampires mixed. I couldn't help but root for the underdog to defeat the Darklings! Fun, interesting book that you won't soon forget.
