Beneath the surface we are all connected . . .
'An authentically soothing, powerful, thought-provoker.'
MATT HAIG
' On Connection is medicine for these wounded times.'
MAX PORTER
' On Connection came to me when I needed it most, and reminded me that the links we have to places, people, words, ourselves, are what keep us alive.'
CANDICE CARTY-WILLIAMS

This is a book about connection. About how immersing ourselves in creativity can help us cultivate greater self-awareness and bring us closer to each other.
Drawing on two decades of experience as a writer and performer, Kae Tempest champions the role of creativity - in whatever form we choose to practice it - as an act of love, helping us establish a deeper relationship to our true selves, and to others and the world we live in.
Honest, hopeful and written with piercing clarity, On Connection is an inspiring personal meditation that will transform the way you see the world.
'Persuasive and profound.' OBSERVER
'Tempest's prose is crisp and thoughtful.' NEW STATESMAN

A treasure trove

Kae’s short but challenging insight’s into a performer’s life contains some true insights into something that I suspect we all crave in these Covid controlled days that we find ourselves, connectivity. In Kae’s experiences we can find clues on how we might find connections in our lives. Well worth listening to.

Sublime

Kae goes from strength to strength .. her work gets deeper, wiser, and at the same time more passionate. This book will join the small and carefully curated collection of books I am putting away as a gift for my granddaughter when she is old enough to be forging her own way through the world. These are words to navigate by.

Beautiful Insight

I can't do this book the justice it deserves in review, I'm not equipped for that. But it lands......my God it lands. Kae is an incredible writer.

Kae Tempest gives me hope

They speak in defense of and against numbness, and always with perfect empathy that admits its faults. Makes me think we could all live so openly. Even if the secrets aren't actually contained in the book, they lead by example.

Raw

I am a huge fan of Jae. Their honesty of their experience makes for an authentic connection everytime I listen to them. They're contribution to this world is like fresh air for the soul. As a creative person myself, I could relate to this fully and learned further insight into some details I had previously overlooked, or never before considered. A wonderfully tender exploration of humanity and what it means to be connected during these strange times, with further reading to be explored should the reader wish. I will be gifting to a friend. Thanks.

Completely unexpectedly, mindfully beautiful

I don’t even remember downloading this, but something clearly compelled
me. I genuinely think it might be life changing. Thank you, Kae Tempest, for opening my eyes and my heart, for reminding me, for the connection.

Trishul

Amazing book. I’m about to go straight back the the start to take it in again. Made so much richer by them reading it. The teaching about the writer, the listener and the text being interchangeable/the same was really deep for me. They are part of the same being. Reminds me of the Shaiva tantric teaching of the trishul: the knower, the means of knowing and the known are the same being
