Summary

It is a novel that turns our assumptions about the West, masculinity, good and evil and the nature of storytelling onto their heads, with an eye to the cosmic as well as the comic. It urges us to write our stories anew - if we want to avoid becoming beasts ourselves.

Hard work but sometimes epic

Hard work. Sometimes epic and beautiful sometimes just so confusing and obtuse it was hard to follow anything logical or meaning. Compares somewhat to McCarthy in prose but considerably more chaotic, and without the same immense impact and weight of words. I'll have to re-read this at some stage.
