Roberto Malini, che da oltre trent'anni si dedica allo studio dell'Olocausto e a progetti di educazione alla Memoria, ha incontrato, soprattutto in Israele e in Italia, numerosi sopravvissuti ebrei e 'zingari': a loro sono dedicate le sue "Poesie dell'Olocausto". Il poeta presenta inoltre le sue versioni in italiano di alcune poesie di autori scomparsi nell'Olocausto o scampati ai campi di morte: Henja e Ayala Karmel, Jankiel Wiernik, Paul Celan, anonimi del Ghetto di Kovno e dalla comunità sefardita della Grecia, Wladislaw Szlengel, Tamara Deuel. È proposto inoltre l'inno del popolo Rom di Jarko Jovanovic, che ricorda il Samudaripen e le innumerevoli persecuzioni subite dai "nomadi" in Europa.
