Summary
What is nature? There is a lot of talk and endeavour to protect nature, the creatures, the birds, the whales, and dolphins, to clean the polluted waterways, lakes, fields etc. Nature is not put together by thought, as religion and conviction are. Nature is like a tiger, that unprecedented animal with its energy, its great feeling of force. Nature is the lone tree in the field, the meadows and the woods; it is that squirrel shyly hiding behind a limb. Nature is the insect, the ant, the honey bee and all the other living beings of the earth. Nature is waterway, the rivers, and the streams. Nature is those mountains, snow-clad, with deep blue valleys and range of hills meeting the ocean. This universe is also a part of this amazing nature. One must be inclined to protect and nurture it, not annihilate it, not kill for one’s pleasure or one’s table. We do need to survive.
I wake up and glance outside an old, timber framed window with splintered white paint. I scan the slightly burned oak tree settled on a grassy land. My cluttered mind used to think that how much life is bringing stress and anxiety to much of the world. Nature has always been very important for life of every living creature. It provides nourishment and beauty in mesmerizing ways. We all should start taking responsibility for making changes to protect nature or else it may descend into nothing.
